My name is Jon Buck, and I am the owner of Checkmate Luxury Sprinters. I started this company seven years ago with one Sprinter van and a clear vision. At the time, I had emptied everything I had into that vehicle and stepped forward in faith, trusting that God would guide the rest.
Before launching Checkmate, I came back home to help my father, who had just started a luxury RV rental company. I worked alongside him and my mother for years, helping build their business from the ground up. Being able to work together as a family has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Through every season, the highs and the lows, we have supported one another, learned together, and celebrated together. Family means everything to me, and I am grateful we still get to work side by side today.
Checkmate Luxury Sprinters also carries a special meaning from my childhood. My dad and I bonded over many things, but one of our first shared passions was chess. He rarely let me win, and it took me until about 25 years old to finally beat him. That game taught me patience, strategy, and perspective, lessons that have carried into both business and life. Checkmate represents more than just transportation. It reflects thoughtful planning, trust, and building something that lasts. It is also our promise to be your first and last choice for luxury Sprinter travel.
When I started this company, I never imagined it would grow into what it is today. My wife Ashle and I truly believe God has guided this business every step of the way, opening doors, bringing incredible people into our lives, and shaping Checkmate into what it has become.
